This ‘Quick Sip’; Tamellini Soave 2017, produced in Veneto, Italy, in the sub-region of Soave, and made of 100% Garganega grapes.
Brothers Gaetano and Pio Francesco, cofounders of Az. Agr. Tamellini has a long history in vineyard cultivation, but it wasn’t until 1998 when they opened their winery. They wanted to create something distinctive, nobler, a unique Soave on the market. Since then, Gaetano looks after the vineyards’ growth and production, and Pio curates the highly notable Tamellini wine. The brothers have garnered the distinction as one of only two dozen estate-bottled growers and authentic Soave producers.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine is a brilliant golden color. Flavors of fresh orchard fruits, citrus, almonds, and subtle minerality invade the palate. The lingering finish is vivacious, carrying the flavor profile through until the end.

The wine garnered stellar reviews from some of the worlds top wine experts, including these;
“This is really delicious with cooked pears and apple sherbet. Mineral undertones. Medium body. Lots of fruit and a flavorful finish. Drink now.”
“Straw yellow. Fresh nose of pear and lemon with hints of camomile, chalk and rhubarb. Sappy, ripe pear, lemon and peach fruit on the palate. Good length and refreshing, truly delicious. All that at only 11.5%! 17/20 points. (WS)”

Available for less than $20 per bottle, this Tamellini Soave 2017 is an incredible value. It’s a wine you can undoubtedly drink now, but I purchased a few bottles to cellar one. It’s going to be difficult not to open that next bottle for awhile.
Please keep in mind wine is subjective, and each palate has it’s own preference. I encourage you to explore and sip your way to what is pleasurable to your palate.
